Glad I dont live in Albany otherwise Id be in Al Taglio for one of their pizzas very often! Clean premises, friendly staff, top quality pizza base and great toppings; I ordered sardegna, #4 on menu, marinated prawns were fresh and yum and that lovely thin pancetta came with a bit of crispness, and thinness ensured no overload. We went here for a pizza encouraged by the good reviews left here. But I have to say that the pizza you can have here is nowhere close to the traditional woodfire pizza you can have in other pizzerias. The dough was tasteless and bland; my guess is that it wasn't let rest long enough to give it enough taste and texture and/or the flour wasn't of the best quality.The pizza had a lot of garlic (the only pizza that traditionally has garlic is the marinara) which made it hard to digest if not eat. The ingredients weren't genuine (traditional Italian pizzas point on less ingredients, but good quality ones). Mozzarella rather than random cheese would be a good start.Nonetheless, I really appreciated the cleanliness of the premises and the staff, overall nice and friendly. Also, free sauces, oil, plastic cutlery were provided free of charge.
