Had a great encounter with a southern right whale on the sail-a-way tour on the 23rd September 2018. Will remember for the rest of my life. Staff friendly and fun.
UNRELIABLE - Booked a tour for September way back in April as we were touring the South West with family from the UK and Queensland. We arrived before time and no-one turned up, rang the tour company and was told that there was no booking made for that day, even though we had tickets in our hands. Took them 11 days to refund our money, shonky run outfit, Good luck with this mob!!!

Despite only 20min of whale action in over 8 hours out at sea across two days, it was still a very positive experience.John and the crew were excellent on both days. The boat is spacious and the views are excellent. It's worth mentioning that John's boat is quite a bit slower than the one of the competitors, so on the days when the whales are scarce, the other group will get to them first once the spotters give the signal. So if I went again, I'd probably try the other company. The experience with John was first class though
